It’s been a busy and rewarding half term for our Sixth Form students, filled with hard work, enrichment, and a good dose of fun along the way!

Our students recently completed their mock examinations and have been putting in focused effort as they prepare for the upcoming summer exams. Amidst the revision and assessments, we’ve also taken time to support wellbeing – trying out mindfulness and yoga sessions to help students de-stress and stay balanced.

To celebrate the end of mocks, students enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Hollywood Bowl, followed by a meal out with pizza and Wagamama’s – a fantastic opportunity to unwind together.

Valentine’s Day was marked in true Sixth Form style, with students spreading kindness through heart notes and homemade cookies.

Academic enrichment has been a real highlight this term. Several of our students competed in the Swansea Analyst Competition 2025, earning impressive Silver and Gold awards. Meanwhile, groups of students took part in the Engineering CREST Award, responding to a real-world brief set by the NHS and presenting their findings to a panel of expert judges. Others are working toward their Gold CREST Awards, tackling independent projects in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology.

We also had students take part in their LAMDA exams this term – we’re eagerly awaiting their results and have no doubt their efforts will be rewarded!

Our Enrichment Programme continues to offer a wide range of opportunities: from house competitions and bouldering, to cooking for university, a finance workshop, a trip to the Sherman Theatre, sports fixtures, and more.

One of the  standout moments of the term was MedSoc Week, where our aspiring medics and dentists led sessions across the whole school – from Nursery to Year 11 – teaching pupils about various aspects of medicine and dentistry. They also raised an incredible £140 for Doctors Without Borders and Dentaid. The professionalism and passion shown by these students left a lasting impression on staff and pupils alike.

Many of our Lower Sixth students also took part in their first Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition this term. Despite the chilly weather, spirits remained high and everyone had a brilliant time, showing great resilience and teamwork throughout.

Finally, we wrapped up the term with our much-loved annual Easter Egg Hunt – a joyful way to celebrate the season and hold onto a bit of childhood magic!

We’re incredibly proud of all that our Sixth Form students have achieved this term. Wishing everyone a restful and happy Easter break!
