This year the Sixth Form ventured to North Devon for our residential at Ultimate Adventure. We were lucky to have some of the best weather of the year, as we pushed our limits, built resilience, strengthened our friendships and generally had a real laugh!
Our days away consisted of paddleboarding, kayaking and general water fights; completing high ropes courses, belaying and bouldering; shooting arrows like we were in the Hunger Games; Mountain Buggying down slopes; and completing the Ultimate Wipeout course.
In the evening we ventured out into the countryside and ended up stopping at one of the best, Instagram-able sunsets, overlooking Abbotsham cliffs. We also went to ‘The Big Sheep,’ where we essentially let the 16 - 18-year-olds (and teachers) loose in a big soft play centre. This was probably one of the most fun and fun activities.
It was so beneficial for us as teachers to get to know our students and for the students to really get to know each other. Friendships were both made and strengthened, and it was the perfect way to kick-start the new academic year.
