Homework Club is intended to provide a safe and secure environment and one where pupils are welcomed into a relaxing atmosphere following a day of working hard. Pupils are provided with a fruit pot and a drink and have the opportunity to complete any homework they are given, or to read independently. Members of staff on duty will help children with any homework. Junior school children are allowed to play with polydrons and complete craft activities once they have finished any homework.
Parents are asked to complete a consent form with contact details and medical conditions including dietary needs. This forms the contract between the parent and the school. In addition, members of staff in the Homework Club have access to the records held in the Junior/Senior school.
After School Club is available every afternoon from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. It takes place in the Nursery classrooms.
At After School Club, it is our intention to provide a safe, secure, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere where Nursery and Infant children can relax after a day at school. Children are free to choose from a wide range of activities including sand, paint, writing/coloring materials, board games, books, library, construction toys, and jigsaws. Two members of staff are always on hand to supervise and take care of the children. All school policies and procedures apply to the After School Club.
Weather permitting, children are able to play outside in the Nursery/Infant playground. Tennis racquets, balls, beanbags, skipping ropes, scooters and trikes are available for the children to choose from. A light healthy snack is provided consisting of toast, fruit, dried fruit and sugar-free squash. All children sit at the table with staff whilst eating and good manners are encouraged and promoted. Parents fill out a consent form with information relating to dietary requirements, contact numbers and any medical conditions that we should know about.
