It has been a wonderful start to the school year, and we are incredibly proud of our fantastic cohort of Sixth Form students! The past term has been packed with exciting activities, achievements, and opportunities for personal growth.
Bake Off Fridays have been a particular highlight. Our students have truly risen to the challenge, producing some show-stopping bakes. Judging by the calibre of chocolate brownies alone, their future university flatmates are in for a treat!
In Enrichment, we have focused on building resilience and encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones by trying new activities. This term, students have embraced a wide variety of experiences, including cooking, padel tennis, golf, dry slope skiing, and ice skating at Winter Wonderland.
Halloween saw us take a trip to the cinema, followed by a delicious meal at Wagamama’s. While some of us enjoyed the horror movies more than others, it was certainly a night to remember!
A standout moment this term was the Christmas Ball. It was wonderful to see everyone suited, booted, and celebrating in style. The Radisson proved to be the perfect venue, providing shelter from Storm Darragh and helping us all get into the festive spirit. With impressive dancing on display, it’s clear we have some very talented individuals in our midst!
The Upper Sixth have been working incredibly hard, preparing and submitting their UCAS applications. Interview workshops and practice sessions have been in full swing, and for many, the interview process is already underway. We wish all our students the very best of luck with their applications – now it’s just a case of keeping up the hard work to achieve those all-important grades!
Beyond academics, our Sixth Form students have been shining through their volunteering efforts. They have given their time generously at events such as the school Christmas Fayre, Parents' Evening, Open Evening, Engineering Club and by assisting in senior lessons. Their dedication, kindness, and willingness to help have been a true testament to their character.
As we reflect on an action-packed and successful term, we look forward to seeing what our Sixth Formers will achieve in the months to come. Well done, everyone!
