The Friends of St John’s College would like to thank the whole school community for all their support with our fundraising endeavours this academic year. We raised over £2000 for our school and local charity as a direct result of your support!

As with recent years, we began the year with the Christmas card project for infants and juniors followed by the Christmas Fayre. The Trinity term kicked off with our annual Charity Quiz & Curry night, finally closing the year with the Summer Fayre on the front lawn and providing refreshments at our various end of year sporting events.

Again our projects this year have seen us raise funds for both school and charity. It was our final year supporting the school's corporate charity, Ty Hafan, for whom we raised over £500. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity to support such an amazing charity and the young people who benefit from their work.

We fully funded the ice-cream van visit this year, which again went down a treat! Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided for parents and supporters at all 3 sports days and junior multisports, as well as squash and oranges for the children.

We are always looking for new people to get involved with the committee or just helping on the day at our events and if you would like to do so, please email us.

Fundraising for our children and community cannot take place without the support of parents/carers, whether volunteering their time, donating prizes, cakes and bottles, or attending our events. Thank you!

Thank you also to all those who supported us by donating a raffle prize for our Christmas Fayre. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and form the highlight of the event every year!

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to SJC staff and Senior Students for their continuous support and help in delivering our events.

If you have any ideas on how the funds raised by FSJC can be used to benefit our children in the coming year, please let us know. We have also asked our Student Council to consider this and look forward to hearing their ideas next term!
