We had a wonderful day working with Cathy Farr, author of ‘Moon Chase’ and had a whole morning/afternoon learning about how we can be more creative with our vocabulary to improve our writing. It was an amazing opportunity to develop our ideas and we wrote lists of synonyms that we then used to create some exciting sentences out of the wide range of verbs, adjectives and pronouns that we had collected. Some of them were hysterically funny, others were crazy, whilst some were really expressive and exciting.
It was a fantastic experience and we were incredibly fortunate to enjoy our time with Cathy and learn so many useful tips for our own writing. We’re looking forward to putting these into practice as soon as possible in our English lessons.
