R11 enjoyed a very informative morning in Cardiff Castle last week. Here are some of their thoughts:
The highlight of Babilia’s day, “was when we talked with Mark as we learnt so much from him and he was very funny”
Bethan said, “I found it interesting seeing the big rattle that the ARP Wardens used to warn people of gas bombs…” and Alice agreed that it was, “extremely loud”
Safi‘s favourite part of the morning was with the ARP warden, “I found it funny when he was talking about the children and how to put their gas masks on…”
Éva-Lee thought it was interesting that there were, “canteens (small ones) in the tunnels”
Maryam was surprised that the tunnels were used as air raid shelters because, “I always thought that the shelters were underground.”
Adam has given the visit his, “5 star review”!
