On 3rd April, during their PSE lesson, all senior school pupils had the opportunity to take part in an interactive CPR session. Using their own devices, students were able to measure the pressure they applied to their rucksacks in a role-play scenario, helping them understand the correct technique for chest compressions.
To keep the rhythm, pupils followed the beat of Staying Alive—a well-known CPR training track—and were also introduced to Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club as an alternative timing guide.
A range of photos showcases students from R12, R13, R15, and R16 fully engaged in the session. Meanwhile, pupils in R14 and R15 can further develop their first aid knowledge by attending a co-curricular class every Thursday in the Trinity term.
For those wanting to take their skills even further, sixth-form students are invited to participate in a full-day first aid course provided by ProActive First Aid during the October half-term.
This session was a fantastic introduction to a life-saving skill, and we look forward to seeing pupils build on this foundation in future training!
