R12E entertained Mrs James in the annual playlets’ performance of R12’s class reader, ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’. The pupils were asked to write their own playlets based on a choice of scenarios from the novel. The pupils excelled themselves and put such gusto into their performances, with one group shining above the rest. The following awards were given out too:

• Best script/comedy - Ava, Anya, Dylan and Angelo
• Best props/costumes - Myah, Hannah, Faith, Daisy, Jasmine
• Best teamwork - Myah, Hannah, Faith, Daisy and Jasmine
• Best leader in a group - Ava
• Best performance - Myah, Hannah, Faith, Daisy and Jasmine

As you can see, one group reigned supreme: they had learnt their lines, rehearsed thoroughly and brought in thoughtful and relevant costumes and props.

All groups did a great job of this annual event. Well done to all involved.
