What an exciting session of History Detectives today! During the last couple of weeks, we have been exploring the history of the school and the school building. We invited Mr Johnson, the Director of Estates, to answer the list of questions that we had compiled. He joined the school in September 1989 and was a font of knowledge.
We were fascinated to hear the story of St John’s College and our lovely school building. We heard so many interesting facts, such as, that our Junior school building was added in 2002 and that the member of staff who has worked in the school for the longest time was Mrs Jenkins from the Nursery.
Mr Johnson was kind enough to bring some old photographs for us to see. We wonder if any parents recognise any past pupils or old buildings? Maybe you have some funny stories about the school’s past too.
Thank you so much, Mr Johnson from all of the Junior School History Detectives.
