R5 visited the museum on Wednesday, 25th January and had lots of fun and learnt lots of interesting facts. Thank you to Dan at the museum for being an amazing teacher!
We listened to the story of Albie the Adventurer and held lots of precious fossils. We learnt that -saurus meant lizard and that our very own Welsh dinosaur that was found in Penarth in 2015 ‘Dragoraptor’ translates as dragon-thief. We also learnt about how dinosaurs laid their eggs and built nests like carnivores and herbivores. We loved exploring the museum and finding all the different treasures in the cases.
The children completed some beautiful drawings of their favourite dinosaurs and listened to the story of 'Dinosaur Roar' in the foyer of the museum... the perfect place for story time!
