This November over 200 pupils from R10 to R16 entered the 2022 national BEBARS competition. The BEBRAS is a competition run in over 50 countries, and across the UK, over 360,000 young people took part in the competition. It aims to introduce pupils to computational and logical thinking.
Each entrant answers questions that focus on computational and logical thinking. As ever St John’s pupils recorded some excellent results. Within the senior school, 30 have been awarded a Gold certificate for achieving a score in the top 10% of the country and will be invited to enter the 2023 Oxford University Computing Challenge (more details will follow).
A special mention to Varun D(R10), Henry J (R12), Hugh W (R13) and Jayvin C (R16) for achieving Best in School in their respective age category. More information about the competition can be found at www.bebras.uk.
