After many covid postponements R11 were finally able to visit We the Curious last Thursday, 10th March 2021, and it was definitely worth the wait! The children were able to explore the hundreds of fascinating exhibits which encouraged the children to ask questions and test ideas together! R11 pupils were lucky enough to take part in a digestive system workshop which allowed them to follow the journey of food through our digestive system and understand the involvement of the different parts of this bodily system. This practical session, as I am sure R11 will agree, was very realistic to the point that Mr Thompson turned a little pale!
The last session of the afternoon saw the children learn all about space in the brilliant planetarium - a highlight for many! The R11 pupils were an absolute credit to St John’s and behaved beautifully. Thank you to Mrs Thompson, Mr Thompson and Mrs Holland who also joined us on the trip.
