The annual national BBC Songs of Praise Chorister of the Year competition selected Lara to take part in the semi-final, which then led to her progression to the final.  Both pre-recorded televised events took place at The Manchester Monastery and were judged by Katherine Jenkins, David Grant and Howard Goodall.

Lara was lauded for her outstanding breath control and overall musicality. She was proud and honoured to represent St John’s College Cardiff and the Metropolitan Cathedral of St David Choir, supported and mentored by Mr Howard.
