After months in the making and weeks of intense rehearsals, our fantastic SJC pupils and staff from dance club, LAMDA and orchestra finally took to the sports hall floor on the 22nd March. In an attempt to thrill a brilliant audience with their performances, the evening was intended to showcase the level of talent our creative arts departments have here at SJC and WOW, they certainly delivered!
From KPop, traditional Indian Dances, Afro Fusion, Hip-hop, Ballet, Contemporary and Latin American. Duos and trios to solos and group numbers. Self-choreographed dances and self-composed musical pieces, to side-splitting sketches from our LAMDA pupils all washed down with scrumptious refreshments during the interval. A fantastic night was had by all. The positive feedback from staff, pupils and parents has truly blown us away. The kind words from one particular parent already have us preparing for the next show:
“What a fantastic evening on Wednesday. This is the first time we were joining for a program in St John’s College. We really enjoyed it. Also, Thank you so much for giving her a great opportunity.”
A huge thank you from Miss Ford, Mr Howard and Miss Golesworthy to everybody who made the evening a huge success. Thank you to parents, carers, staff and of course the pupils for all of their hard work and support. We already look forward to hosting the next one and making it bigger and better! Pupils, please remember to regularly attend co-curricular clubs for the chance to be involved in future performances, events and opportunities that may arise.
