R10

Ahoy there me hearties!

R10 had the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to become treasure hunters, these skills included; compass skills, map reading and grid referencing.

The pupils particularly enjoyed following the compass trail to search for pirate John Lucas’ lost cache of hidden treasure.

Once the clues were followed and the booty was found, they turned the contraband into pirate chocolate gold and then R10 made their own treasure maps on the beach.

Shiver me timbers! The pupils said how much fun they had during the day and that they had found it informative and worthwhile. It was a pleasure to take R10 on this trip and many people commented on their excellent behaviour and lovely manners.

There were lots of pirates on our trip and thankfully nobody had to walk the plank, since they were able to listen to and follow instructions given to them and demonstrated wonderful map reading skills!

Well done R10.
