On Monday 26th September, we all enjoyed celebrating the European Day of Languages, celebrating the various languages taught and spoken in our school. The day started with discussions and presentations in registration as we greeted each other in our many different tongues, and continued with a variety of challenges set in our Welsh, French and Spanish lessons, where plenty of house points were won.

Our Languages Faculty’s Twitter page @SJC_Languages was on fire all day, updating us on the challenges, sharing inspiring quotes, and rather interestingly, sharing ‘Language Stories’ from teachers within the faculty. 

Mrs George and Mr Taylor had a busy day putting together a fun ‘reel’ to be shared on our social media channels, showcasing a number of pupils greeting each other in various languages. However, the celebrations didn’t stop there. Challenges continued throughout the week and culminated in a whole school activity in registration on Friday.
